Utsaha 27-01-08

Utsaha ended pretty ordinarily, nothing royal as it should have been be. I heard that sponsors were not happy about the footfalls that was expected. The care taker at Abhay prashal ( location where utsaha was held) explained the reason , he said in all the promotional campaigns , nothing has been told about what people should look forward when they come. Obviously, u dont enter places where you dont even know what's happening. By the number of marketing and promotional theories we have learned, this was something to be done right. The other reason could be the Big Bazaar Mega Sale for 3 days. Even i wanted to go to Big Bazaar to buy an Eye dark circle remover for the lady i spent some time with in utsaha, lekin bahot lambi line thi.

Utsaha - 26-01-08

Utsaha is a marketing fest organized by IIM Indore. It is a two day fest organized in the middle of the city; the best thing about this is it is open for general public, as in different games for family people and all. I liked the concept when i first heard about it, but somehow couldnt give my name earlier for any event . Just 4 days before , there came a sort of opening for one project. I applied for it. We prepared a game for it . Personally, i feel it was a stupid game ; Anyways we reached the venue today morning at around 10.45, again with a hangover and less sleep, thought i wud come back at around 4 or something when crowd will start coming and things will start getting hectic. Somehow i cudnt come back as people started pouring in suddenly and there were only 3 of us at that time on our stall. In short, i cudnt run away. The game is like , we tell people wish for certain available tours provided by us ( domestic, international etc .) and then allowing them to throw dice and if it matches to what they thought and said, they could move forward with increased points.
So, the first question i had to ask was, Sir aap duniya ghoomna chahenge ki india mein hi ghoomna pasand karenge. I never really thought such a simple question can evoke so many emotions in so many different people .
If a person said abroad, then i asked why . They said:
Ek baar meri wife ko India ke bahar ghoomane le jaana hai . (Aged around 50 may be, with his wife standing beside him )
Abhi tak toh jaa nahin paaye, aapke game mein hi chale jaate hain , aap toh IIM waale ho, aap hi hamen ghoomaoge( Aged around 45 ). He lost the game, but he was so happy about playing the game and greeting me.
Abhi final year engineering chal raha hai , job mil gayi hai , ab toh jaana hi hai ek baar ghoomne( Aged around 21)

Their responses were so genuine, i really hope i could be so genuine to people and myself. It was worth a day talking to all of them. So much love, so much hope and aspirations. And we just keep cribbing about placements comparing with A,B,C.

Another beautiful thing that happened to me was Sizzling brownie and icecream at CCD on my way back :)

About me

This is something some of my loving bastard wingmates at kgp wrote about me

Anant Manas Khatri

Psycho Rank : 6 out of 15

Vital Stats : 36-"36"-36

CupSize : 36D

Also Known as : Khatraldo (the name became extinct a year ago)

Attributes : Hair Hair Everywhere! ,"Miss 14"? ha, Mr.Photogenic - CTM

Exploits : TATA Motors (people please don’t buy Indica's any more. This guy may be your sales agent).

Tragedies : Struck once near the end of the final year. Incapacitated him.

Why are we being made to write his pink page anyway? He has been banished from the wing and is really a CTW junkie. One gray morning Anant Manas Khatri was born and promptly grabbed the nearest 'balls' in the vicinity. Also, the doctor and the nurse that delivered him were found hanging by a noose (a common noose) the very next day. The scourge was born. His favorite pastime is playing people against each other and observing his handiwork. He can give you a very nasty migraine with his nonsense if you cannot shut him up. However his intense and passionate and also very very lewd affair with Pushkal Singh goes on to show that he can be a very loving and caring man(We doubt if this aspect of his character shows up in his extra-marital affair with "Miss 14"? ha).The best attitude in the wing(or is he our wingie ?). Nobody believes in the credo "take it easy" more than he does and nobody has the capacity to practise it as well as he does.Nothing fazes him. Most of the people we know are given to wild mood swings and have bouts of both euphoria and blues. His blues, if he has had any, which we doubt, are yet to be observed. Some people are determined to go through the processes of life positive and upbeat. He quite simply, is one of those rare people.

Awesome management speech

I don’t know what to say, really. Three minutes to the biggest battle of our professional lives. All comes down to today, and either, we heal as a team, or we're gonna crumble. Inch by inch, play by play. Until we're finished. We're in hell right now, gentlemen. Believe me. And, we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time. Now I can't do it for ya, I'm too old. I look around, I see these young faces and I think, I mean, I've made every wrong choice a middle-aged man can make. I, uh, I've pissed away all my money, believe it or not. I chased off anyone who's ever loved me. And lately, I can't even stand the face I see in the mirror. You know, when you get old, in life, things get taken from you. I mean, that's... that's... that's a part of life. But, you only learn that when you start losin' stuff. You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game - life or football - the margin for error is so small. I mean, one half a step too late or too early and you don't quite make it. One half second too slow, too fast and you don't quite catch it. The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break of the game, every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when add up all those inches, that's gonna make the fucking difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying! I'll tell you this, in any fight it's the guy whose willing to die whose gonna win that inch. And I know, if I'm gonna have any life anymore it's because I'm still willing to fight and die for that inch, because that's what living is, the six inches in front of your face. Now I can't make you do it. You've got to look at the guy next to you, look into his eyes. Now I think ya going to see a guy who will go that inch with you. Your gonna see a guy who will sacrifice himself for this team, because he knows when it comes down to it your gonna do the same for him. That's a team, gentlemen, and either, we heal, now, as a team, or we will die as individuals. That's football guys, that's all it is. Now, what are you gonna do?
